1. Jill, I'm so psyched you've stopped by. I know you're in the thick of your engagingly heart-felt Animal Magnetism series. For those not familiar with the series would you explain a bit more about it.
Three wildly alpha brothers come together to run an animal center in Sunshine,
at the base of the Idaho . Bitteroot Mountains
2. I know that you put your own blood, sweat and tears into every page. So, I'm curious to know if your characters have any of your own traits. Is there one character you think is more like you than any other?
I’d like to say I’m tough as Holly Reed from Rescue My Heart but in truth I’m probably more like Lilah from Animal Magnetism – a little bit of a push over. J
3. Jill, would you share with us a bit more about Adam and Holly's story from RESCUE MY HEART?
Holly Reed is certain something bad has happened to her father on his hunting trip, and with a massive storm coming, she needs help. There’s only one man she knows can track her father – the man who once broke her heart. He’s also the one man she’d rather never “need” again. Adam Connelly.
Adam, back in the real world from being an S&R specialist in the
National Guard, would like to just be left alone
to do this thing, which is training S&R dogs and assisting at the he runs with his
brother Dell. He sure as hell doesn’t
need to face yet another of his failures, but there she is, his biggest one,
named Holly, staring up at him with her gorgeous eyes, needing him. He can’t commit to a dentist appointment, much
less a woman, and yet he can’t fail her.
Not again. Out in the wilds of
the Animal Center , they’ll each face their fears, and something else – the fact that they
never stopped loving each other. Idaho Bitterroot Mountains
4. I'd like to end by asking Adam and Holly one question, if you do not mind. Hi, Guys, thanks for stopping by with Jill. I really appreciate you taking the time from your busy schedules to chat with readers. My question for both of you is, what is the one thing you hope readers gain from reading your love story in RESCUE MY HEART?
That resisting a woman once she gets you in her sites is futile.
Oh, Adam, you know you fell hard and fast and loved every minute of it… Readers, don’t be fooled by his badass exterior, on the interior he’s a total marshmallow.
Jill it was a blast having you stop by. Thank you for taking the time to shoot the breeze about your latest contemporary romance, RESCUE MY HEART, released by
Group). I really enjoyed getting to know
more about these wonderful characters and you. Berkley
Thanks for having me!
Excerpt from RESCUE MY HEART by Jill Shalvis
She didn’t bother to roll her eyes. They headed back to the ATV in silence. Holly’s mind was whirling. Two days ago she’d been happily hoarding resentment, regret, and a whole bunch of other repressed emotions for Adam. She’d been doing so assuming that he was that same person he’d been all those years ago.
And in some ways he was. He still could think faster on his feet than anyone she knew. He was strong of body and mind, and he never, ever backed down. But he wasn’t the same wild, dangerous rebel she’d once been so desperately in love with, and so desperate to save. Clearly he still had his ghosts, but he’d grown into a flesh and bones man, and a good one.
And suddenly she had a new problem. She was seeing Adam, the real Adam, warts and all. No rose-rose colored glasses this time. And she liked this man.
She could fall hard for him, if she let herself. Luckily she understood him now and knew he wouldn’t want that. She shouldn’t want it, either. After all, her parents’ marriage had been smoke and mirrors. Hell, her marriage had been smoke and mirrors. Her entire life had been smoke and mirrors.
She was good at that, at building unrealistic expectations. But she was over it. She wasn’t living that way anymore. Her eyes were wide open now, and staying that way. Life wasn’t perfect and she knew now it never would be. She had faults, and she wanted to be with someone who revealed his faults right up front. No hidden agenda. Adam fit the bill. Could she allow herself to fall for him again, the man he was now?
Or maybe the more accurate question was…how could she not?
